Customer Satisfaction & Perceptions Study : Diesel Engines
McG carried out a Customer Satisfaction & Perceptions study for a leading Diesel Engine manufacturer in India. The study encompassed fieldwork in 27 centres and a total of over 230 interviews were carried out among end users, genset OEMs, distributors, service centres and equipment manufacturers.
The study mapped customer perceptions across a number of parameters in absolute terms and relative to competition. The study has helped the client appreciate the weak links in its marketing chain and provided an insight into competitions’ strategies.
Market Entry Strategy : Elevators & Escalators
A global leader in Elevators & Escalators based in Europe has been one of McG's premier clients, for whom McG has carried out a series of market research studies to analyse the Indian Elevator & Escalator markets on qualitative, quantitative and competitive dimensions. The first series of market research studies carried out by McG resulted in the development of a market entry strategy for the client.

For an automobile dealership group based in India, McG carried out a Customer Satisfaction study on their sales and service business.
The study estimated the current satisfaction levels across a range of parameters encompassing the entire sales & service experience of their commercial vehicle customers. Critical parameters were compared and benchmarked against competition.
Market Analysis & Strategy Formulation : Sanitaryware
McG carried out a Market Analysis cum Strategy study for a leading Sanitaryware manufacturer in India. The study was conducted in 35 cities / towns in India with over 400 personal interviews amongst builders, developers, distributors, and dealers. Data was also gathered from small and medium scale manufacturers of sanitaryware.
The study covered the entire value chain from raw material procurement through to production, marketing and distribution. The report and presentations provided the client with a clear understanding of the dynamics of secondary brands business. In turn, this assisted the client to reorient their marketing strategies to address the mid-segment of the market and create new product offerings at lower price points without sacrificing the premium image.
Developmental Studies
McG conducts macro level studies that help fostering economic development. Recently, in partnership with one of its associates, it conducted a study to establish the industrialisation potential of certain Southern Districts of Tamil Nadu. The study was commissioned by a premier industry association in India and was aimed at facilitating a faster economic growth in these districts.
The study involved extensive primary and secondary research by McG's team. Senior members had in-depth interactions with various stakeholders at various levels of the Government, industry, and trade representatives, businessmen, NGO s, etc. in the districts and at Chennai.
The study provides deep insights into the potential and opportunities that exist for development in the districts and recommends an action plan that would transform their industrial scenario. It highlights specific industries and hubs and corridors as engines that would drive the growth of the whole region.
Tackling the Regulatory Environment
McG advised a global pharmaceutical major headquartered in Germany in understanding the regulatory environment in India and facilitated the firm’s decision making process. In the next phase, McG assisted the global major in obtaining approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board to form a wholly owned subsidiary (WOS). Finally, McG provided services for drafting and finalising a technical collaboration agreement and getting the necessary regulatory approvals.
