Shanker Gopalkrishnan (President)

Shanker Gopalkrishnan is the President of Madras Consultancy Group, Chennai, India, founded by him in 1985. Prior to commencing his consulting practice, Shanker worked in the aluminium and packaging industries, in senior positions.

Shanker Gopalkrishnan holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. His consulting practice areas include Business and Marketing Strategy, Market Research, and Marketing Consultancy. Shanker advises foreign firms on the Indian Regulatory Environment and Entry Strategies.

Shanker Gopalkrishnan is a past Vice Chairman of the International Council for Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), the apex body for management consultants worldwide. He is a past President of the Institute of Management Consultants of India and past Chairman, Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Tamil Nadu.  Shanker has also served an important committee constituted by the Government of India, New Delhi.

Shanker has been an adjunct faculty at the Indian Institutes of Management - Bangalore and Calcutta. He currently teaches Strategic Management and B2B Marketing at IIT Madras and IFMR, Chennai. He has presented several papers in national and international conferences and has published a number of articles in Indian journals.

V. Ramadoss is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years work experience in India and abroad. He has been a consultant for the last 10 years and provides support to McG in the areas of : interpreting Government policy, rules and regulations, taxation, corporate systems & procedures and preparation of financial feasibility reports.

N Gopalakrishnan, Adviser, Chennai

An Engineering Graduate from Madras University and an MBA from University of Geneva, Switzerland, N.Gopalakrishnan has vast work experience in General Management, Planning, Technology and Quality Management. He has been McG’s special adviser for several years and has provided the top management perspective to numerous assignments

Rajendra Das, Adviser, Bangalore

A Post Graduate from Delhi University, India with an MBA from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, Rajendra Das assists McG with Strategy Consulting and Industry Studies

G Viswanath, Adviser, Bangalore

A Post Graduate in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, G.Viswanath has had extensive experience in Human Resource Development. He is McG's Adviser for Organization Development and Training.

Rajiv Srivastava, Adviser, New Delhi

Rajiv Srivastava holds an Engineering degree from IIT Delhi and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. With over 24 years of industrial, commerce and consulting experience Srivastava supervise McG’s efforts in New Delhi.

Sudipta Shome, Adviser, Kolkata

With a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, Sudipto Shome heads his own firm in Kolkata.  Shome and his team assist McG in conducting Marketing Research in the eastern part of India and in Bangladesh.

Dr. N. Ramachandran, Adviser, Bangalore 

Dr. N. Ramchandran is a plastics and packaging specialist with over 35 years’ experience, in India, Europe and Africa. He has been a specialist technical consultant in Europe, for over 20 years. He now lives in Bangalore and assists McG in specific assignments.

C.R. Ramesh, Adviser, Chennai

C.R. Ramesh holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and has over 25 years of marketing experience in senior positions in the industry.  Ramesh now assists McG in conducting consulting assignments.
